Our Team

We're fortunate to be surrounded by people who care as deeply about this land as we do.

Debbie and Quinn Stepan

This vineyard has always been about more than wine — it's about family, connection, and the joy of sharing something beautiful with the people you love. Debbie and I have spent years building Deux Vert into a place that feels like home, and we're grateful every day for the community that has grown up around it. We invite you to make it yours, too.

Owners

Kathleen & Chris Larson

Kathleen and Chris Larson have great passion for Deux Vert and help Debbie and I manage the property. They are on site to ensure guest and property safety. Chris is an experienced adventure guide and life skills coach. Kathleen is an enthusiastic gardener and advises us on the development and care of the property. Their commitment to the vision we have for the property ensures that every guest and associate will enjoy exploring the site and its bounty.

Caretakers

Tony Rynders has been making outstanding wine for 35 years. With degrees in microbiology from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Enology and Viticulture from the University of California at Davis, Tony understands the art and science of making great wine. Tony made wine on three continents before settling in Oregon where he made wine for Hogue Cellars, Argyle and Domaine Serene. During his time at Domaine Serene, Tony became one of the most highly celebrated winemakers in America and received more 90+ point scores from Wine Spectator than any other winemaker during that period (1998-2008). Tony left Domaine Serene to start Tendril and Child’s Play, his own labels, and a consulting/custom winemaking business.

Debbie and I met Tony shortly after we bought Deux Vert in 2018 and feel fortunate to be working with him on our wines.

Our Partners

For over fourty years, Results Partners has been developing and managing some of the Pacific Northwest's finest vineyards — and we're proud they bring that same expertise to Deux Vert. Their stewardship of our 29-acre, LIVE certified Yamhill Carlton site helps us grow the exceptional fruit we and our grape customers count on to make the great wines you enjoy.

Caring for this land means looking beyond the vines, and James Riedman helps us do exactly that. James grew up the Willamette Valley and has spent years leading preservation projects in the Valley and sharing his expertise with others. James has restored the Deux Vert oak groves by removing invasive species and replacing them with a diverse palette of native understory that forms a functional, beautiful, multilayered habitat that will allow the 150 oaks on site to thrive. The hiking trails he has built provide an opportunity for guests to explore the site and enjoy the diverse environment we have created.

Bees are an essential part of the Deux Vert ecosystem, and Jenn Maxfield of Honey Harvest Beekeeping is the expert behind their care. As our apiary manager, Jenn tends to the health of our hives and ensures they deliver the great honey you enjoy!

Honey Harvest Beekeeping

Rachel Getsinger found her way to Deux Vert through honey — her husband Matthew of Oregon Beekeeper establish the on-site apiary that now thrives across the estate. Rachel is a Design Director at a creative agency with over 15 years of experience developing brands and telling stories. She brought her creative eye and enthusiasm to Deux Vert and The Stepan Family Reserve — designing the logo, website, as well as, the wine and honey packaging. Rachel is a lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, mother of two and lover of the outdoors. She is also, by her own admission, a devoted fan of good wines and, in particular, the Stepan Family Reserve’s Rosé.
